Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bhoothnath hit the theatres in Pakistan the same day as its global release on May 9.

It was passed by the Pakistan Censor Board in its original version without any cuts. Eros International distributed the film across all major cities of the neighbouring country, including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faislabad, Gujaranwala and Hyderabad, in association with Pakistan-based Evernew Group and HKC Entertainment.
Sajjad Gul, Chairman and CEO Evernew group, in a statement in Mumbai said: "Bollywood films have always had a big market in Pakistan. Pakistanis are absolutely ecstatic to have Amitabh Bachchan on big screen in Pakistan."
Pranab Kapadia, President-Distribution, Eros International said: "Market for Bollywood films in Pakistan has huge potential. 'Bhoothnath' is the ideal film for our launch as it stars Amitabh Bachchan , who have a great fan following in the neighbouring country."
"'Bhoothnath' is the first among many in our release pipeline and we look forward to working with Evernew Group and HKC Entertainment to release more films in Pakistan," Kapadia said.
