Adlab, Z Picture Company and K Sera Sera`s Ramgopal Varma directed and much awaited sequel to `Sarkar`, the three Bachchan starrer, `Sarkar Raj`, was one of the most awaited releases of the first half of 2008. The film had a fair first day in Bombay and South but the opening was by and large disappointing at many places. However, the film picked up quite well as the weekend progressed and Sunday saw quite a good turnout at many cinemas. Unfortunately, `Sarkar Raj` has not been appreciated much outside Bombay circuit (barring Hyderabad and Calcutta) and its collections began to drop from Monday onwards, even in Maharashtra. Considering the heavy prices at which it has been sold, the final outcome of `Sarkar Raj` will depend on its performance in the coming weeks.
